Apple enthusiasts across the world are looking forward to the company’s annual iPhone 16 release date, which will take place today at Apple Park in California, US at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST). The event, titled “It’s Glowtime,” is planned for the launch of the highly-anticipated iPhone 16 series.

iPhone 16 Series: The Star of the Event
The iPhone 16 series will probably to be the highlight of today’s event, with significant upgrades across the board. Notable physical changes are expected, with Apple Intelligence likely to be the most appealing feature of the next iPhone models.
With the iPhone 16 series, Apple will launch its own line of AI devices to compete with Google and Samsung. In addition to software modifications, significant hardware updates are anticipated.
The new A18 chip is expected to power the whole iPhone 16 series, with several combinations available for the Pro and basic versions. To separate the Pro and basic lines, Apple is expected to replace the regular and Plus models’ Mute switch with a capacitive Action Button.

The basic AirPods 4 model will replace the AirPods 3, and a new entry-level AirPods may supplant the older AirPods second generation. The regular AirPods 4 model is believed to include Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology, although the entry-level model may lack such advanced features.
Apple may potentially introduce a new AirPods Max model with the AirPods 4 series. The new headphones may have AirPods Pro capabilities such as adaptive audio, conversation awareness, customized volume, and Siri-controlled head gestures.
iPhone 16 Series Price in India
iPhone 16 series prices in India have surprised some buyers. Since this is the first time that Apple has launched a flagship iPhone with a lower price than its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro is priced at ₹1,19,900 for the base 128GB model and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at ₹1,44,900 for the base 256GB model, starting at ₹1,44,900 for the base 256GB model. Initially, the 128GB iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will be available for ₹79,900 and ₹89,900 respectively. Notably, the price of the standard model is in line with the price of last year’s iPhone 15 series. However, the iPhone 16 Pro model faces a problem.
